AI for elderly care launches at CES

CarePredict collects data of an individual senior's living habits, helping them detect possible risk factors for conditions that elderly people typically develop as they age.
CarePredict, a digital health company that provides preventive healthcare solution for senior adults, announced the launch of their direct-to-consumer product, CarePredict Home, at CES 2019, the world's largest consumer technology show. CarePredict was the first-to-market to use machine learning, smart wearables, and unique kinematics to quantify daily activities performed by older adults and predict health conditions including increased fall risks, depression, and urinary tract infections. After proven success in several senior living communities across North America and Japan, CarePredict will drive their technology's use for in-home senior care.
About CarePredict's AI
CarePredict's end-to-end AI platform consists of lightweight sensors and wearables, designed for seniors, to unobtrusively and autonomously collect rich data sets on senior's activities and behavior patterns. These activities include but are not limited to eating, drinking, walking, grooming, sleeping, bathing, and toileting. Deep learning models trained on these activity sets are used to surface insights such as signs and symptoms of self-neglect indicative of depression, unusual toileting patterns indicative of a urinary tract infection (UTI), or increased fall risk due to malnutrition, gait changes, lack of rest, and dehydration.

CarePredict Home will be showcased at CarePredict Booth #52334, Sands G at the CES Conference in Las Vegas.
Ray Kurzweil, the prize-winning author, and scientist says that artificial circuits replicating themselves at a molecular level will merge with the biological circuits that constitute our nervous systems, giving rise an "enhanced" human super-intelligence. Once this starts happening, what we now call the Internet will in effect become telepathic, giving these enhanced humans instantaneous access to all available knowledge and information as they fashion their brave new world.
