Pluralsight reports the top 10 developer technologies in 2019, plus a tech Index to rank most in-demand technologies for Software Engineers, IT Operations, Information Security, and Data Professionals.

Pluralsight, Inc. announced that it has expanded its Technology Index tool to address the most in-demand technologies for IT operations, information security, and data professionals in addition to the previously existing ranking of top in-demand software developer languages.

In-demand technologies according to Technology Index

Pluralsight's expanded Technology Index provides a monthly snapshot into the most in-demand technologies, tools, languages, frameworks, and certifications, enabling tech leaders and practitioners to keep their finger on the pulse of technology innovation. Ranking the demand and growth rate of more than 850 languages, tools, and frameworks for software developers, IT operations, information security, and data professionals, the Index draws from more than 23 billion data points across eight sources.

We created the Technology Index to give organizations an effective and easy-to-use tool to better understand the direction and cadence of the latest enterprise tech innovations. Pluralsight's Technology Index continues to track the most in-demand technologies for software development, delivering a current snapshot of programming languages most important to tech leaders. The top ten software development languages ranked by the Pluralsight Technology Index are still dominated by legacy languages like Java, Javascript, C, and HTML. Four new technologies - Python, Android Development, PHP, and Git - have entered the top 10 since last year, displacing Blockchain, jQuery, CSS, and Arduino.
