Gemalto is now extending the reach of its authentication solution by working with Appdome to allow the MobilePKI SDK to be added to mobile apps without writing any code.

Appdome announces the general availability of “Appdome for Gemalto” - a service that enables codeless integration of Gemalto’s MobilePKI SDK to any mobile app. Available in the platform’s Identity service category, Appdome for Gemalto streamlines the implementation of Gemalto’s MobilePKI solution by eliminating the cost and complexity associated with manual coding. Customers can now implement the full functionality of Gemalto’s SDK via Appdome’s “one-click” self-service AppFusion process.

“It’s no question that everyone wants to deliver apps with higher levels of security and user authentication. The challenge has always been how to include the desired security to apps without compromising the app capability, user-experience or impact on its time to market. With Appdome for Gemalto, developers and DevOPs can integrate Gemalto’s market-leading authentication and PKI services to any app in minutes, all without touching a single line of code” explains Tom Tovar, Appdome CEO.

In addition to extending the reach and applicability of the MobilePKI SDK, Appdome eliminates ongoing maintenance burdens as updates are delivered automatically on the Appdome cloud-based platform.

Key use cases and features enabled by Appdome for Gemalto include:

  • Smart card log-in with Bluetooth card reader

  • Strong two-factor authentication

  • Secure key management

  • Secure remote access

  • Digital signature

  • Strong encryption

“Through our relationship with Appdome, Gemalto’s MobilePKI SDK can now be fully embedded into any application in a matter of seconds. This is a big advantage for developers who want to quickly build a sophisticated security solution without additional software installation or heavy customization,” said Francois Lasnier, SVP of Authentication Products at Gemalto.
