Xilinx Launches New Data Center Ecosystem Investment For Industrial IoT and More

Xilinx has created a new Data Center Ecosystem Investment Program to be managed through its corporate venture arm, Xilinx Technology Ventures. Investments made through the program targets solutions for emerging workload applications such as machine learning, image and video processing, data analytics, storage data base acceleration, and network acceleration.

Xilinx is a provider of programmable FPGAs, SoCs, MPSoCs, and 3D ICs.Xilinx solution’s combines software programmability with hardware optimization for in Cloud Computing, SDN/NFV, Video/Vision, Industrial IoT, and 5G Wireless offering acceleration of compute workloads, storage, and networking with the security needed for cloud computing. Xilinx enables heterogeneous compute architecture with high throughput and low latency.

As part of the new investment program, Xilinx recently completed its first data center ecosystem investment in TeraDeep, a company specializing in convolutional neural networks-based machine learning. Xilinx will continue to invest in other companies who create libraries, middleware, and application software to accelerate the deployment of Xilinx FPGA solutions in the Data Center.
