Windows phone store is growing, adds 42 new markets

Despite the late arrival into the mobile World, Windows phone is not going down without a fight! Microsoft just put the Windows phone market in front of a whole lot more people.

Now, any one the following countries can get to the Windows phone app store:

Angola, Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Congo (DRC), Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guinea, Haiti, Honduras, Kenya, Liechtenstein, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Niger, Pakistan, Paraguay, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Togo, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

All totaled Windows phone is now available in 113 markets, compared to iOS (155 markets) and Android (129 markets) which makes them more equipped contender for mobile traffic.

Availability of Windows Phone Store in new markets will directly benefit developers whose apps are marked for worldwide distribution, and will of course benefit owners of Windows Phone devices in those countries as well. The upgraded Windows Phone Dev Centre will now support the two new rating for games in order to be sold in Taiwan and Russia.
