The Application Developers Alliance wants to focus on Healthcare apps

The Application Developers Alliance http://appdevelopersalliance.org which was launched in January of this past year has more than 100 member organizations and 15,000 individuals. They are a non-profit origination based in Washington, DC. They offer networking, legislative and regulatory advocacy, industry information and research and resources, to application developers.

They believe the healthcare industry needs a good dose of application development and are seeking to see that happen by making it's premiere at the Exhibit Hall in the 2012 mHealth Summit
"The healthcare space is a challenging space, but it's definitely big," says Jon Potter, the alliance's president. "The app ecosystem is a democratization of healthcare beyond what it has been before. Apps are an extension of healthcare that make healthcare less expensive and more interactive – and clinically meaningful."
