Rover Mobile App iBeacon SDK Offers Developers Integration with a Few Lines of Code

Rover Labs is offering a new iBeacon SDK platform that allows developers to integrate a complete context aware retail experience into an existing mobile app. While a customer is within a store, the Rover Platform enables the app to understand the customer's precise location, what they are looking at and how long they've been there. The platform is comprised of a mobile SDK and a content management system (CMS). It also relies on one or more beacons to function.

The iBeacon SDK is a framework file that can be installed in any mobile app. After the SDK has been installed, the app will be able to communicate with the Rover Platform. With a few lines of code the app can track customer analytics, deliver offers when a customer enters a store and display information about a product a customer is looking at.

The Rover Mobile SDK contains pre-built user interface components to get up and running quickly. The UI components work out of the box with the Rover Platform and can be customized to match the look and feel of an application. Developers can also create their own interface.

An admin console is available offering a browser-based content management system for the Rover Platform. Through the admin console developers can manage the content that will be delivered to an app. It provides the ability to see who the best customers are, how often they visit and the average amount of time they spend in-store.

The platform works with any iBeacons. More information is available at the Rover developer hub.
