They are giving the money away in appreciation for the accidental surge of religious followers to their Pontiflex twitter feed. In a funny typo, there was a large group of people that thought they were signing up for the Pope's new twitter handle @pontifex but instead were clicking to follow Pontiflex @pontiflex!
None the less, free money awaits anyone wanting to market their religious app with Pontiflex :)
