Tableau Server: Tableau Server offers browser- and mobile-based insight that can publish dashboards through Tableau Desktop which can be shared throughout an organization.
Tableau Online: Tableau Online is a hosted, SaaS version of Tableau Server that provides cloud based analytic capabilities which can quickly be shared throughout an organization. Top security is built in as only authorized users can interact with data and dashboards through single sign-on support via SAML2.0 which allows embedding and Active Directory synchronization through corporate identity providers.
