New Startup Point.io opened its doors in July introducing its platform to allow integration between mobile devices and document storage systems attached to enterprise networks. Point.io’s API and enterprise BaaS platform is available free of charge for integration with any cloud-based storage service and the Point.io Gateway and enterprise connections to behind-the-firewall networks are available through monthly or yearly subscriptions.

The Point.io’s selling point is the ability to secure BYOD access and document collaboration globally ensuring system stability and scale. The platform allows companies to offload most of the backend development, while defining how documents can be used by all employees, external partners, and third parties.
