The most commonly cited opportunity for AI was addressing administrative burdens through automation, reported by 57% of physicians. By taking over routine documentation and workflow tasks, AI allows physicians to spend more time on direct patient care, ultimately improving efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Other areas of application include supporting diagnostic evaluations, analyzing medical images, and recommending treatment options based on patient-specific data. While these applications show promise, physicians note that effective integration with existing electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential for usability and adoption.
