Are you an Australian App Developer needing funding? Mobile advertising provider Tapjoy is now supporting Australian app developers with the Tapjoy Australia Fund.

From the Tapjoy website:
Looking to take your free-to-play game app to the next level? The Tapjoy Australia Fund provides significant upfront marketing spend to help Australian developers bring their free-to-play games to the world market. Plus you’ll have the opportunity to leverage Tapjoy’s platform for distribution, monetization, game and marketing consulting and analytics.

Although Tapjoy has not mentioned how much funding will be available for Australian game app developers under the Tapjoy Australia Fund, company officials did state that it will "offer select iOS and Android developers a combination of marketing and distribution support and funds, as well as consultation services and optimization support through Tapjoy's industry-leading experts and best-in-class consultation teams."

Potential participants are required to have produced at least one publicly available app.

"The Australian development community is one of the hottest, up-and-coming talent pools in the mobile space," said Tapjoy senior vice president of global partnerships Chris Akhavan.

The Game Developer Association of Australia welcomed the announcement. CEO Antony Reed said "With the help of Tapjoy's marketing strength and free-to-play consulting experience, as well as Australia's $20 million Interactive Games Fund, Australia's indie developers will find the road to success a little less bumpy."
