Apple App Store Stats 2012 takes a grounded look at the early growth of the App Store, including download numbers, revenue trends, and developer impact. See how 2012 shaped the modern app economy and what the data actually shows about its rise.
The latest statistics are out from Apple in regards to their App Store downloads and interactivity. The report says there have been over 40 billion app downloads since the App Store's inception, and 20 billion of those downloads were in 2012 alone!
This certainly testifies to the fact that the mobile economy is still growing by astronomical numbers, and that 2012 was a great year. Another number to report is Apple says it paid $7 billion to apple developers in 2012 – how much of that was yours?
They also state there are over 5 million active accounts in the App Store.
