Appboy has announced a new segmentation feature that lets app developers not only identify who is using their apps, but also enables them to segment groups of audiences off in order to target specific types of advertising to them.

I think these types of analytics will prove to be valuable as the app economy grows more competitive among advertisers. It will be important to recognize certain age groups, and types of users in order to maximize revenue streams and create longer life spans for app revenue in general.
