Mendix Announces Free Version of Enterprise App Platform as a Service

Mendix, an enterprise app platform as a service company, has announced the release of the Mendix Community Edition, a free version of the company’s enterprise app Platform as a Service (aPaaS) for app delivery and deployment.
The Mendix Community Edition includes the development capabilities of the Mendix App Platform combined with a set of deployment resources for small teams of up to 10 users. Users can be seamlessly upgraded to commercial editions to add users, and enterprise-grade features including private cloud and on-premise deployment options, app monitoring, back-up and resource management as well as enterprise management and support.
The app platform is a combination of agile project management, visual business modeling, drag-and-drop workflows, social productivity streams, enterprise process integration, ready-to-go apps from the Mendix App Store, and a scalable and secure cloud infrastructure allows small teams to build enterprise apps.
