Xamarin Releases SAP SDK for Native Enterprise App Development
Monday, February 24, 2014

Xamarin has announced a partnership with SAP to help developers create native mobile apps to integrate enterprise data and processes. The jointly-developed Xamarin SAP SDK provides a native .NET interface to the SAP Mobile Platform allowing Developers to authenticate against SAP Mobile Platform endpoints and use native C# objects to access their SAP business objects directly. Full data-access capabilities and Linq support are included.
Xamarin Test Cloud now includes built-in SAP Mobile Platform data verification capabilities to ensure mobile apps are properly capturing and synchronizing data with SAP systems. Tests can run on the mobile app’s user interface, and then verify the backend data in SAP automatically. In this way, a mobile app’s frontend and backend functionality can be simultaneously tested to ensure stability and data integrity.
Xamarin University has also created a course and curriculum to train enterprise customers and consulting partners on best practices in developing Xamarin mobile apps with the SAP Mobile Platform.
Xamarin will host a webinar to discuss the collaboration between Xamarin and SAP, demo the SAP Mobile Platform SDK from Xamarin, and walkthrough the SAP Mobile Platform. The webinar will be held Thursday, March 13, at 8am.
