Twitter's Crashlytics Now Catches out of Memory Crashes for iOS Apps

Twitter has announced a brand new feature in Fabric's Crashlytics kit — out of memory crash reporting on iOS (OOM).
Crashlytics is already the most powerful crash reporting solution available. But app crashes aren't always caused by bugs in the code. Crashes can also be caused by the user's device being out of memory, forcing the app to shut down. This is a problem that has previously been largely undetectable to developers - but starting today, they will be able to track OOM crashes through Crashlytics, giving them even greater visibility in their app's performance and stability.
"We know first hand that app stability is one of the top concerns for developers, and rightfully so. A glitchy app can greatly degrade the user experience and derail the success of even the best apps. But we also know that app crashes aren't always caused by bugs in the code. Crashes can also happen when the user's device runs out of memory, forcing the app to shut down. This is a critically important problem that has previously been largely undetectable to developers, and one that we were determined to solve. Starting today, iOS developers will be able to track OOM crashes through Crashlytics, giving them even greater visibility in their app's performance and stability." -Twitter
