A digital fan experience platform and a digital transformation consultancy have announced a joint offering for the SportsTech world: the Sports & Entertainment Digital Accelerator.
Under the hood, the six-week program leverages BeyondCurious' CatalystGo methodology and Built.io's Digital Fan Experience Platform. It is designed to provide immediate value and impact to participants through actionable insights, design concepts, prototypes and demos. The Digital Fan Experience Platform is the technology foundation that helps professional sports teams venture into the digital world and offer better, more engaging fan experiences through connected spaces, customized applications and content delivery to any channel.
"Sports franchises that participate in the Sports & Entertainment Digital Accelerator will benefit from BeyondCurious' expertise in how to properly embrace technology and Built.io's platform that enables any organization to adapt to the digital world of APIs, microservices, IoT and connectedness quickly and easily," said Neha Sampat, CEO and co-founder of Built.io.
"BeyondCurious is the services partner and Built.io is the platform partner. Both companies bring a strategic, agile and innovative approach to digital transformation. This is an exciting collaboration that equips forward-thinking sports teams with a digital edge."
The Sports & Entertainment Digital Accelerator will accept a limited number of sports teams into its inaugural class to ensure a VIP experience and competitive edge for participants. Teams can apply to join the program online or sign up in person at the upcoming SEAT (Sports and Entertainment Alliance in Technology) conference in Atlanta July 16-18, where Built.io and BeyondCurious are featured on an exclusive panel alongside marquee customers Miami HEAT and Sacramento Kings. The panel discussion takes place on Monday, July 17 at 12 p.m. ET, titled "Creating the Digital Fan Experience of Tomorrow."
Joining Neha Sampat and Nikki Barua on stage at SEAT are Andrew Nicholson, Senior Director of Digital from the Sacramento Kings, and Matthew Jafarian, VP Digital Strategy & Innovation from the Miami HEAT. Together, they will explore the ways sports franchises are using cutting edge technologies to create digital experiences for their fans by integrating physical and digital touchpoints.
"Our audience will learn firsthand how the Kings and HEAT are using innovative technology - including apps and connected services - to achieve greater fan engagement via a seamless, frictionless and intuitive experience," said Nikki Barua, Founder and CEO of BeyondCurious. "This session will empower attendees to map out their own digital journey for the future. We are looking forward to sharing our vision for the future of SportsTech."
