Remote work is opening the door for global outsourcing

Daniel Todd, founder, and CEO of Influence Mobile explains why remote work is opening the door for global outsourcing, his predictions for 2023 about corporations shifting more dollars toward lower-cost developer hubs, brand loyalty declining with the increased popularity of reward apps, and more.

Daniel Todd from Influence Mobile shares his 2023 predictions including how remote work is opening the door for global outsourcing, what the benefits of global outsourcing include, why brand loyalty will decline with the increased popularity of reward apps, how their flagship app Rewarded Play, allows users to earn 20 percent back on average, and much more.

Prediction #1: Acceptance of remote work is opening the door for global outsourcing.

Business leaders learned over the last three years that an in-office team is not a criterion for success. This expedited shift to remote teams has opened the door for new, global staffing opportunities at a substantially lower cost. In the coming year, I predict we will see more U.S. corporations start to shift more dollars toward lower-cost developer hubs.

Global outsourcing includes numerous benefits, including:

-Helps you overcome staff shortages.

-Provides access to a wider talent pool.

-Creates more diverse thinking.

-Lower cost.

Prediction #2: Brand loyalty will decline with the increased popularity of reward apps.

According to our Influence Mobile survey of 53,868 people, only 3-in-100 consumers said yes they would stay loyal to their top brands if offered cash and/or point-back incentives for switching to a competitor. Reward apps are offering two things that are leading to this erosion of consumer loyalty among the most esteemed brands:

Greater flexibility:

Consumers are aware of the wide array of choices available to them and don’t want to be tied to a single brand or action. Instead, they desire a unified loyalty platform that is highly flexible and allows them to earn rewards for completing everyday activities like shopping, playing a game on their phone, or even streaming their favorite television show.

Increased savings:

With gas prices and inflation at a record high, people are desperately looking for ways to stretch their budgets. In our flagship app, Rewarded Play, users earn 20 percent back on average.
