Phunware Launches New Initiatives for 2015 to Help Companies Engage the Complete Mobile Application Life Cycle

If you want success in mobile, you have to have the ability to quickly adapt to the reality that is the lightning fast evolution of the mobile ecosystem. Phunware has shown a unique ability to do just that as they have grown and evolved since the company was founded in 2009. To help its customers keep pace with today’s mobile realities, Phunware has announced several new initiatives for 2015.

In a short five years the company has seen tremendous growth based on its ability to roll out new products that leverage the opportunity of an ever changing mobile marketing landscape. Phunware pioneered the Multiscreen as a Service (MaaS) model – offering a fully integrated services platform that enables brands to engage, manage and monetize their users anytime, anywhere.

Acquiring several companies over the last two years (including TapIt, Digby, and Simplikate) has allowed Phunware to quickly and strategically grow its platform, matching its ongoing operations with new technologies that provided enhanced services. Continuing this trend into 2015, they recently acquired London/Singapore based Odyssey Mobile Interaction, providing immediate scale to Phunware’s existing premium advertising offering and international reach.

This ongoing investment continues to enhance a comprehensive platform offering high-end custom development, pre-packaged industry-specific solutions and a platform of a-la-carte SDKs. It’s an end-to-end approach to mobile problem-solving that can help Phunware customers, all from a single login.

In 2015 Phunware is also rolling out a new strategy for communicating how they deliver value across the life of a mobile application - from ideation all the way through install campaigns. They call this the “Plan-Build-Grow-Service” model, leveraging the company’s expertise across a number of verticals. These services run the gamut of exploiting location aware technology through mapping, navigation and wayfinding; custom analytics and business intelligence; mobile advertising and monetization; and next generation alerts and notifications.

Phunware’s Content Management Engine also provides a server-side web login to load, store, manage and curate all of the meta-data, media and user generated content within the application dynamically in real-time - addressing the needs of global application distributions, including complex policy enforcement for business rules related to permissions by country or region, branding by country or region, advertising by country or region, mobile analytics by country or region and integrations by country or region as needed or required.

As a part of their full-stack solutions approach for 2015, TapIt by Phunware has been rebranded as Phunware Advertising and remains the branded mobile advertising arm and Multiscreen as a Service (MaaS) monetization module of Phunware. Phunware Advertising offers a comprehensive advertising product suite including self-service media buying, real-time bidding (RTB), publisher mediation and yield optimization, and  cross-platform ad creation for iOS and Android mobile applications.

There are a number of case studies, videos and blog posts on the company's website outlining how Phunware has helped individual companies leverage their mobile efforts to create real value and bottom line results. It’s worth checking out to see how the company’s approach can help you improve your mobile strategy.
