Layer 7 Technologies Publishes Enterprise API Report

Layer 7 Technologies has published a new API survey, surveying 140 IT professionals.

The survey reports that 43 percent of the people that responded already have an API program with 27 percent planning on developing an API program within the next 12 months. 72 percent of the IT professionals say they need an API program for mobility and 69 percent for partner connectivity. Just over half said they still prefer a on-premise solution with 42 percent reporting using a hybrid cloud/on-premise structure.
