Facebook’s New FBStart Program Provides App and Game Developers With Free Third Party Services including Parse, Adobe, Appurify and Proto.io

With the new FBStart Program developers can now receive free tools and services worth up to $30,000 from Facebook and 11 other companies to help get their business up and running or take it to the next stage of growth.
App developers can apply to participate in FbStart, and if selected, will receive credits for Facebook advertising and Parse, plus free services from companies that deliver product testing, recruiting, customer care, video conferencing and document management. Participating companies include Adobe, Appurify, Asana, BlueJeans, Desk.com, MailChimp, Proto.io, Quip, SurveyMonkey, UserTesting, and Workable.
There are two tracks in FbStart: the Bootstrap track for companies just getting started, and the Accelerate track for apps that demonstrated initial traction and are trying to grow.
Bootstrap Track: Free package of tools and services worth up to $5,000, including:
- Access to Facebook Start to Success Program
- Parse credit
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Appurify testing suite
- Desk.com customer care tool
- Proto.io prototyping tool
- UserTesting UX research tool
- Workable recruitment tool
- Promotional Facebook ad credit for new spenders
Accelerate Track: Free package of tools and services worth up to $30,000, including:
- Access to the Facebook Start to Success program
- Parse credit
- Priority access to Internet.org innovation lab
- Ad support from Facebook's Preferred Marketing Developers
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Asana task tracking tool
- Appurify testing suite
- Bluejeans video collaboration service
- Desk.com customer care tool
- MailChimp email marketing support
- Proto.io prototyping tool
- SurveyMonkey account for research
- UserTesting UX research tool
- Document sharing with Quip
- Workable recruitment tool
- Promotional Facebook ad credit for new spenders.
Any developer with a public iOS or Android app is eligible to apply and the app doesn’t need to be integrated with Facebook.
