Helps customers monitor their apps and those of competitors; Provides developers with valuable feedback to identify trends and improve their apps

Ceiba Solutions today announced the availability of AppPulse, a new mobile web app providing real-time insights into user comments, ratings and reviews of apps within app stores. Through daily or real-time notifications sent directly to the user, AppPulse unlocks the invaluable customer feedback regarding an app every time a comment is posted to an app store.

“Staying on top of what is being said about an app is a first step in brand protection and creating an advantage in the mobile apps race.”

AppPulse enables developers to monitor customer comments, identify the features that are the most popular and make improvements based on actual customer comments and requests. By delivering this information AppPulse helps developers focus their efforts on the capabilities that matter the most, enabling them to speed improvements to market, reduce development costs and grow their customer base. Versions of AppPulse are supported on all mobile and web devices including the iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows phone, empowering users to monitor comments posted on the iTunes Store. AppPulse will also support Google Play and the Windows Store in the near future.

Companies spend vast resources developing mobile apps. In order to protect these digital assets and see a return on investment, an app’s online reputation has to be managed. But monitoring for customer feedback can be burdensome both in time and feasibility. Based on Ceiba’s previously-released iSwarm technology, AppPulse eases that burden, culling the information necessary for users to evaluate app performance and identify strengths and weaknesses.

AppPulse users receive daily email notifications listing new comments. This allows businesses, community managers, developers and others to monitor customer feedback, identify trends and take action quickly. If customers are listing complaints, problems can be corrected and damage mitigated before word spreads and credibility suffers. Customer praise will allow users to leverage their success for future growth and increased downloads.

“In the age of mobile apps, comments within app stores can be the difference between success and failure. The perfect example of this is the phenomenal success of WhatsApp and its acquisition by Facebook. WhatsApp’s growth was driven by comments and positive ratings from users in app stores, word of mouth and social sharing,” said Warren Casey, CEO, Ceiba Solutions. “Staying on top of what is being said about an app is a first step in brand protection and creating an advantage in the mobile apps race.”

With tiered packages and pricing available, users can monitor an unlimited number of apps at a time, allowing them to stay current with conversations about their products, as well as those of peers and competitors. The Starter AppPulse will monitor one app for free, forever. The Pro version will monitor 5 apps for a one-time fee of $9.99, and unlocks Pro-Pack access, allowing users to purchase additional monitoring in 5-app increments. AppPulse also supports larger enterprise customers, providing delivery calendars, enhanced analytics, history retention, de-identification and an enhanced level of personal service.
