With an exclusive focus on the App developer community and supporting industry, we found the event to be very beneficial indeed. Beyond the opportunity to exhibit our iOS controls we also derived value from the conference sessions, especially around Enterprise App. Further it was a very useful opportunity to gather industry comment on emerging trends as well as specific developer requirements. Such was the feedback from demonstrating our prototype Android controls - We have now decided to develop them further and plan for a full product release later this year!My Prediction
The major adoption of Apps in the enterprise market; We have seen significant uptake of iOS controls in Financial Services and Healthcare, as well as Manufacturing and Engineering. We expect this development to accelerate throughout 2013. The trend will be global, with USA and Europe leading the way.About Us
We have had great uptake of our charts controls for the iOS platform. Developers are embedding them in Apps that require enhanced data visualization, The breadth of applications using our charts, grids and UI controls covers mainly financial reporting, healthcare analysis, IT monitoring services and even consumer orientated apps such as running and cycling statistics.www.shinobicontrols.com
Snowshoe
Claus C. MobergThe Event
As a first-time attendee, it was a surprisingly good conference. We connected with several firms we had been targeting for a while, and we finally got to test our cross-platform authentication technology on the new Blackberry hardware. My Prediction
Your phone is going to become the control center for both your digital and physical environment. From unlocking your door to triggering payments, your phone will be an interface through which you monitor and control your relationship with your environment and your data.About Us
Our technology is called the SnowShoe Stamp, and it is the authentication layer for the internet of things. Comprised of a simple block of aluminum, the Stamp is the most intuitive, durable and cost effective way for an app developer to enable their users to interact with other people or embedded systems in the real world. Mahala
Haleigh FineThe Event
The Mahala team has been fortunate enough to have participated at both the UK and North America AppsWorld conference, and we must say every event has been top-notch. They do a great job of ensuring the soul of a developer conference is maintained, while also fostering an environment conducive to real business. We are looking forward to the next AppsWorld event in October! My Prediction
We believe the proliferation of mobile not only in established markets but also developing markets will continue to fuel the "Rise of the App". By allowing access to financial tools previously withheld for an assortment of reasons, these untapped markets will prove to be the next "Gold Rush". Mahala is on the leading edge of this revolution, and we believe that free payments and a focus on social entrepreneurship and empowerment is the path to making a true impact for ourselves and the world.About Us
Our flagship product, Mahala, provides Free, Fast and Secure payments to independent artist and nonprofits. The Mahala app allows these original content creators to monetize their own networks at no cost to themselves, without added hardware or risk of fraud. Mahala, unlike traditional payment standards, offers a digital solution tailored for the digital era.www.mahala.us

Alex BakmanThe Event
Fantastic event. Shows how the mobile market is expanding from "consumer only" to include the enterprise. I met with people from many large companies like Boeing, Chevron, etc who are trying to figure out how their companies will build apps and meet the demand. My Prediction
Enterprises large and small expand mobile support. They will go beyond email and begin aggressively building mobile apps that will front end their existing IT systems. Enterprises were caught off guard by the mobile "tsunami" ( rapid adoption) of mobile devices by customers and employees and have to respond quickly to be competitive.About Us

Kobi MarenkoThe Event
AppWorld North American this year was I think the largest I had seen. The amount of traffic we got to our booth was really good. It looks like everyone is interested in mobile apps this year.My Prediction
- iOS will still dominate Apps world with better monetization for Commerce & in-app purchase- Commerce (m-commerce) will become signnifcant category on Apps
- Large brands & retailers will shift major budgets from web / Social to mobile
- FB mobile revenues by the end of the year will be equal to FB web revenues

Bilal AhmedThe Event
Apps World 2013 was quite simply a great experience. It was delightful to meet all the people that I work with everyday, establishing new relationships and figuring out how we can be useful to one another. Not to mention all the upcoming innovative and creative technology. My Prediction
A lot of companies are actively shifting their focus and resources to mobile given its exponential growth in the last few years. That said, my top prediction would be the arrival of more wearable mobile gadgets. Google Glasses is a good example and I have also been reading about iWatch by Apple.About Us
Most ad networks provide solutions to monetize your applications via the active users. We differ from that since we also focus on inactive users with Push Notification Ads. Developers have found this very useful along with our Alert Ads. Not to mention, we are currently developing many many more ad units and features. Its a highly competitive industry and being stagnant is as bad as being extinct.www.senddroid.com
BizApps
Zach CusimanoThe Event
Overall I thought AppsWorld was a great conference for companies large and small. There were a ton of great thought leaders hosting discussions on a wide variety of topics that any mobile company would benefit from.My Prediction
2013 will be an exciting year for mobile as it will continue its rapid push as the fastest growing industry ever. Television will be dethroned for the first time by Mobile Apps in terms of daily hours of engagement. Also the great debate between HTML5 & Native will finally be put to rest as companies realize a hybrid option is best route to take.About Us
Our White Label Mobile Platform is our most popular service. We enable businesses who service SMBs to start their own Mobile App Company or add Mobile Apps to their product line. Effectively servicing their clients with the best Mobile Software on the market without them ever knowing Bizness Apps is involved.www.BiznessApps.com
Lanica
Peach PellenThe Event
It was a fun event, although different to what I expected. I found it interesting that the most interesting people I met were not at their respective booths but instead wandering around and socialising. It was great to see so many out-of-town developers (such as myself) who I hadn't previously had the opportunity to meet in person. My Prediction
I think that by the end of the year we'll see the shift from paid to "freemium" become even more apparent, with the top grossing apps in 2013 using that model. I think the balance between iOS and Android will remain unchanged and that people will still be taking pictures of their food and, despite the ruckus over terms of service, still using Instagram.About Us
As popular as Animo is, I'd have to say the demand from developers wanting to get their hands on the Platino beta far outweighs that. The response has been just phenomenal.www.lanica.co
Kony
Cal EvansThe Event
While this was our first time participating in AppsWorld North America, it most likely won't be our last. We enjoyed the opportunity to talk to developers about the Kony Toolchain and show them how it can make their lives easier. My Prediction
Our prediction for 2013 is that Windows 8 Mobile will dominate the space. (Hey, it's a long-shot if it is true, we'll be the only ones who called it.) :) Seriously though, we predict further fragmentation of the mobile market. With more platforms, it will be more difficult single platform developers to find traction. The smart development shops are already looking at how they can deliver cross-platform apps for their clients we know, we are talking to them.About Us
By far our most popular product is KonyOne Studio, the heart of our tool-suite for developers. KonyOne Studio gives mobile developers the freedom to concentrate on their app, not the platform to which they have to deploy.www.kony.com
Mag+
Mike HaneyThe Event
The move to mobile has created such opportunities for so many specialty providers. The show was full of surprises and great talks and panels from the biggest enterprises to niche vendors. My Prediction
As a digital publishing ecosystem, we believe that almost every smart company is going to be exploring mobile apps in 2013 and the businesses poised to win will unite excellent design with compelling content in those apps, to keep their clients engaged.About Us
You can download the tools to try for free, and explore pricing options here: Mag+ is hands-down, the most innovative and flexible tool in the market for delivering compelling content to touchscreen devices. Our heritage is magazines, but customer demand has led to us creating an SDK that allows developers at larger enterprises to use Mag+ as a base for a variety of innovative apps, thus saving hundreds of man-hours of coding, and create really amazing e-commerce, in-game content and other custom designs.www.magplus.com
M&C Saatchi Mobile
Jocelyn SheltrawThe Event
AppsWorld was a huge success for M&C Saatchi Mobile. We had the opportunity to meet with a variety of ad networks, app developers, and publishers. It really demonstrated how much the industry has grown over five years. It's inspiring to see the number of women involved with the industry. My Prediction
Simple. Mobile ad spending. Research shows that over the next 4 years spending is going to increase from $8.4 billion in 2012 to 37 billion in 2016. Brands are recognizing the power of mobile and we're seeing it play a much larger role in the marketing budgets than in previous years.About Us
M&C Saatchi Mobile is a mobile marketing agency that specializes in app marketing in order to drive direct response and customer acquisition. Our team of mobile media experts handles the entire process of media planning, buying, reporting, optimizing, and analysis to ensure our clients see a high ROI. Mobclix
Toya BrownThe Event
This was my first time at AppsWorld after attending several app related events last year and I have to say I was impressed. The vibe from the first day was intoxicating. There was an overall great mix of new and innovative app technology, digital apps and technology, big brands and of course developers. Our company was able to generate numerous leads on all sides of the business and that is exactly the outcome you want when attending a conference. My Prediction
Fullscreen/Rich Media ad units will be big in 2013 for demand networks and especially for developers! Android and iOS are will still be the front runners in smartphone and app development. Windows 8 and Blackberry will fight for the leftovers.About Us
Mediation platforms (ad networks/exchanges) the ability to connect your app to over 45+ demand sources.www.mobclix.com
Corona
David RangelThe Event
We were very pleasantly surprised by the attendance and the number of companies exhibiting. We were expecting a somewhat smaller show since this was their first time in North America. But in the end they had a great turnout and it was a strong event. My Prediction
Fragmentation, at every level (coincidentally, this was the topic of Walter's presentation), is going to increase. There will be more core platforms (e.g., Windows), more devices, more services, more options for developers of all types. This is a good thing for mobile in general, but also presents a huge challenge for developers as it is becoming less and less feasible for them to maintain consistency across all platforms. But that is where Corona comes in - we focus on cross-platform so developers don't have to worry about it.About Us
We thought people were very interested in our product at the event. In particular, people were very receptive to the idea of building their apps "10x faster", which is something that Corona consistently does a great job of delivering. We had anywhere from 3-6 team members at the booth throughout the show and they were always busy talking to people and answering questions.www.coronalabs.com
TapStream
McElroy FlavelleThe Event
Great show. Lots of people, lots of smart people. App makers didn't really have booths, they were the audience. People providing services to app developers actually had the booths. My Prediction
Continues to grow at an absurd speed. Mobile web becomes more prominent, native apps still king of the castle. Facebook will continue to burrow into mobile. Analytics will be huge. User acquisition will grow up, become more creative, more mature.About Us
Taps.io is our link shortner that tracks not only clicks but app installs. People are loving it right now.tapstream.com

AppsWorld was fantastic. We met tons of people and I was impressed with the caliber of the audience. Totally worth our time!My Prediction
Connected apps will be the next trend. In recent years we've seen the rise of many compelling mobile products, but my prediction is that we will start to see a class of apps that build an experience on top of users' existing data. We've started to see this with apps like Timehop and Brewster, but I believe we'll see these apps take off.About Us
Singly AppFabric is the easiest way to integrate 40+ services into an app. Developers can use these connections to leverage existing friend networks and other data from across services.singly.com
The App Village
Patrick VisserThe Event
The exhibition was very professionally organised and run, it was a pleasure to be part of it. The quality of exhibitors was excellent and the workshops offered a wide range of relevant topics. However, we expected a higher number of visitors and attendees, especially on the second day, when we encountered a lot of returning visitors. My Prediction
Apps becoming smarter and more ubiquitous completing tasks in background.Apps integrate seamlessly and communicate with hardware.
Mobile becomes the main digital advertising channel.

Marzia TagliabueThe Event
The show provided interesting leads, both on advertiser and publisher side. Given that it was only the first show like this for us, the attendees could have been better targeted as there were quite a lot of visitors who took advantage of the free admission. But AppsWorld shows a lot of potential for next year, we will definitely come back!My Prediction
Android continues to grow over iOS. The demand for iPad is on the rise as well. A lot of brands are turning toward mobile - be it on performance or purely for branding purposes. Gaming is THE vertical with the highest ad spend. In addition to this, we shall see some advertising demands on Windows Phone in Q4 this year. Amazon traffic should also become a new channel before end of the year.About Us

The best part of exhibiting at AppsWorld was connecting with other developers and companies from around the world. From our conversations, we were able to learn more trends, meet potential partners, and learn about the latest and greatest apps.My Prediction
Bluetooth 4.0, a low power wireless standard, are going to transform how apps connect with the world. More connections = more data. Developers can leverage data to create more powerful apps that anticipate user behavior and streamline the user experience.About Us
Wallet TrackR – an iPhone and Android app that connects to a credit card thin Bluetooth 4.0 device. The App tracks everything from your wallet & keys to bags & remotes. You can get them at: http://igg.me/at/wallettrackr/www.phonehalo.com

Christian SmithThe Event
An interesting show with promising potential. Developers were pleased with the quality and variety of workshops. As an exhibitor, the business audience at the show seemed a bit confused with the focus of the exhibition - consumer, gaming, enterprise? With Apps focused on Gaming, Ads, Consumers, Platforms and Enterprise, etc. business attendees felt it was a mixed bag. I think the growth in enterprise Apps and App platforms and how companies are integrating and creating apps within or for their businesses and customers has tremendous future growth opportunity and focuses the attendees. My Prediction
The BYOD movement and Enterprise focused apps will continue to grow in importance as smartphones and tablets continue to displace the desktops and notebooks as business tools. Rather than programs that do everything - Apps with a specific focus will continue to dominate but the ecosystem or integration/communication across apps is rapidly gaining in importance. iOS will continue to dominate with Android gaining speed and I think Win8 will begin start to have a presence in late 2013.About Us
