Kubernetes deployment and management platform has been released by Kublr.
Kublr has developed an enterprise-grade Kubernetes platform that’s not tied to a single cloud, PaaS, OS, or technology stack. With the launch of Kublr 1.8, Kublr is introducing its self-service control plane that enables simplified Kubernetes deployment and management. The Kublr control plane empowers enterprises to run Kubernetes in production at scale out-of-the-box - from security to monitoring and logging to backup and disaster recovery - without the need of extensive in-house Kubernetes expertise. Even complex scenarios, such as hybrid or multi-cloud deployments can easily be executed.
Kublr, a Washington, DC based software company, was an early adopter of container technology and Kubernetes, and is a contributor to the Kubernetes open source project. “There has been an increasing demand for faster application deployment and delivery leading to a rise in container and microservices adoption,” explained Kublr CEO Slava Koltovich. “Our customers needed a solution that didn’t tie them to a specific cloud vendor or technology stack while leveraging the full potential of Kubernetes. Kublr does exactly that. It provides IT with a production-ready, secure, and easy-to-use platform maintaining all benefits of upstream Kubernetes.”
With Kublr, developers maintain the desired openness, portability, and pluggability of open source technology, while operations teams gain a fully production-ready platform with the needed support and reliability. “As operator of the world’s first Globalized Network and leader in integrated satellite communications, the complexity of our network services and vast, global customer base require that we only select solutions that adhere to the same proven reliability,” explained Adam Levy, VP Information Systems, Intelsat S.A. “Kublr’s Kubernetes management platform with enterprise-level features like security integration with Active Directory, combined with backup and disaster recovery, offers us the superior reliability we need.”
“We offer the world’s largest satellite backbone with terrestrial infrastructure through an open, interoperable architecture that enables our customers to leverage a new generation of network services and drive revenue,” Levy continued. “With Kublr, we are deploying native Kubernetes that supports any complex application development environment with no vendor or cloud lock-in and enables us to truly leverage the portability of our container applications.”
“With Kublr’s unique open, enterprise-grade Kubernetes platform, we are simplifying Kubernetes adoption and enabling our customers to upgrade their legacy applications or create new cloud-native applications and run them on-premise or on any cloud, using the OS and technology stack of their choice,” continued Koltovich.
Key features of Kublr 1.8:
- Provides global enterprises with a production-ready, secure, and easy-to-use platform that speeds the management of their containerized applications while leveraging existing investments and maintaining control of their development environment
- Reduces the need of extensive Kubernetes expertise, allowing IT teams to quickly adopt Kubernetes
- Includes built-in multi-factor enterprise security, configuration management, backup and disaster recovery, and logging and monitoring providing the reliability and flexibility large organizations need for a successful Kubernetes implementation.
