IDERA, Inc. has announced an agreement to acquire Sencha, a web application development platform. Sencha will be integrated with Embarcadero, IDERA, Inc.’s developer tools division.
Sencha’s Web Application Development Platform empowers companies to design, develop and test cross-platform web applications for desktops, tablets and smartphones. IDERA also noted that "in recent studies, customers using Sencha’s full-stack enterprise solution were up to 50 percent more productive than those using other web application frameworks."
“Sencha’s focus on reducing cost and complexity to develop and deliver web applications is a powerful fit with our development tools business,” said Randy Jacops, CEO of IDERA, Inc. “We are very excited about this space and expect to continue to improve and invest in our developer tools capability.”
Sencha’s web application development tools power thousands of data-intensive web applications around the world, including 60 percent of the Fortune 100 companies. The company continues to innovate, recently delivering the much-anticipated Sencha Ext JS 6.5 and ExtReact for adding powerful UI components to React applications.
“We believe joining the IDERA developer tools family will enhance Sencha’s R&D and go-to-market capabilities,” said Art Landro, CEO of Sencha. “This is a logical step in our efforts to continue opening our product frameworks by making them interoperable with new technologies to maximize customer value.”
