Pebble Comes to Android Store Plus Brings On New Partners

Richard Harris Richard Harris in Mobile Tech Friday, March 7, 2014

Pebble has announced their App Store is available on Android devices, plus they have new partners including eBay, Evernote, and Time Warner.

Android users can access the Pebble appstore inside the Pebble app, which is available for free in the Google Play store, to easily discover, search and install apps and watchfaces right to their wrist. The Pebble App Store for iOS launched earlier this year and is available in the iTunes store.

Here’s a quick look at the new partner apps. These, along with watchapps from Yelp, Foursquare, Mercedes and more, are all available to consumers via the Pebble appstore for Android and iOS.

  • eBay: The eBay app lets users quickly and easily access eBay feeds and discover products on their Pebbles. With the push of a button, eBay for Pebble lets you add items to Watch Lists and then complete the shopping experience on your smartphone.
  • Evernote: Evernote for Pebble helps you remember everything across all of your devices by giving you convenient, wrist-top access to core Evernote features like Checklists, Reminders, and Notebooks. Pebblers using Evernote can easily view upcoming reminders, bring up notes about a new restaurant recommendation, check off items from grocery lists without digging into pockets for a phone, and more.
  • Time Warner Cable: Time Warner Cable and Pebble have teamed up to build a Pebble app that allows Intelligent Home subscribers to control their home right from their wrists. If you’re at SXSW Interactive this year, swing by the Developer Garage to see the Time Warner Cable app for Pebble in action.
