Karen Sittig

Karen is a Software Engineer at Facebook. She previously worked on the Data Protection: Data Privacy team writing frameworks and tools to secure Facebook's data warehouse.She also worked on the Goal Oriented Scenario Modeling Robots project teaching agents to classify web pages. I hand-curated a training data set from hundreds of web pages and used HTML parsing tools and gradient boosted trees to automatically recognize four different types of actions that could be carried out on the pages. This labeling enabled the GOSMR agents to navigate the live web and carry out various tasks.I also experimented with incorporating common sense information from the ConceptNet project at the MIT Media Lab into the GOSMR architecture.
