Submission Guidelines

It is in your best interest to read the following very carefully before you submit content to us.

Last updated on 02/16/2021

We do not publish content that have been published anywhere else.
Keep it vender neutral. If you want to advertise, contact us.

This agreement (the "Agreement") governs your submission of content and articles to App Developer Magazine ("ADM"). ADM may modify these terms at any time. Before submitting an article please review this submission agreement with care.

General Submissions

For all byline submissions, thought-leadership articles, Q & A's, and other content we have worked directly with an author or agency to curate, ADM retains the exclusive right to publish. No duplication, or representation can be made without our permission and concent.

We accept any relevant tip, article, or byline that is not published anywhere, on topic, vendor neutral, and not self-serving (do not mention your company name). We typically only accept non-circulated content and only work with exclusive, thought leaders, and all submissions are scanned for previous publishing. General submissions can include news, or press releases from agencies on behalf of a company or individual.

Quality standards and what we expect from you

All submitted bylines, op-eds, and thought leadership contributions must be a minimum of 1500 words, be well written, and non-self serving. Our quality standards are high.

To save us time, please send all of the assets to us in one email with the word ADMSUBMIT in the subject.

WHAT WE NEED: The content itself, an author bio, and the author image in high resolution.

We will not accept documents, images, or other assets sent or hosted anywhere else such as Google Docs, Drop box, or behind link counters such as bit.ly, or goog.gl. And we won't click links to discover your content either.

Your best bet to be covered, is to speak directly to us, and offer unique insights our audience would find interesting.

Representations and Warranties.

For all article and submissions to our publication we require your verification that you've read and agree to our Submission Guidelines below. Even if you have not read them, simply by submitting any content to App Developer Magazine, you are automatically agreeing to our Submission Guidelines as stated.

All submissions are voluntary. By submitting an Article to us, you represent and warrant that the Article is your original work, that the Article is not owned by any third party, that the Article is accurate, that the Article has not been obtained by unlawful means, that the Article has not been previously published in any manner or medium with the exception of the author's personal website or blog, or in the public domain, specifically including, but not limited to, print or electronic means, and that publication of the article by ADM will not violate any copyright or other intellectual property right of any third party. You further warrant that no material infringes or violates any personal property rights or contains defamation, or invades anyone's privacy.

Assignment and Ownership of Intellectual Property.

You will retain the copyright to the article, notwithstanding the rights granted to ADM as described below. You must grant, and you actually grant by submitting your article or content, a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, unlimited, assignable, sub-licensable, fully paid up and royalty free right to ADM to copy, prepare derivative works of, improve, distribute, publish, remove, retain, add, and use and commercialize, in any way now known or in the future discovered, anything that you submit to ADM, without any further consent, notice and/or compensation to you or to any third parties.

Gated

We may choose to feature your story to our audience. Being featured automatically puts your story as "top" or "featured" in our publication and website. A short abstract is published for GA, and sometimes gated. The entire story might be available to subscribers only. After 60 days of publishing, the gate will be removed for GA to read the entire story. If you are featured and do not want the content gated, you must purchase a sponsored post with our marketing department.

Back links

We include the plain-text version of your article body only for publishing. Embedded external hyperlinks you include, or embed are considered at the time of editing but we reserve the right to edit the links as we see fit. We typically do not provide backlinks to your website, landing page, or other source of origin without you, as the author, vendor, or agency - sponsoring the post with us. Details of sponsored posts available on request. However, ADM editorial reserves the right to link relevant keywords inside your article body.

Authorship

Please include the full name, short bio, and photograph of the author. We will link to an author’s personal social media links only, including Twitter, Crunchbase, or Linkedin.

Editorial Bias

We understand that when drafting an article, it is beneficial to mention sometimes companies, products or services, including the ones offered by the author of the article. We ask that these references not be blatantly promotional in nature and are within the practical scope and theme of the content. We reserve the right to edit articles including specific references to companies, products or services that could be construed by our readers as biased, even in situations where the perception of bias is not intentional by the author.

Intent to publish and sponsoring

We receive hundreds of contributions weekly and do not guarantee your article, tip, or submission will be inserted into our publishing rotation.

Analytics

We use our own internal tracking algorithm in combination with data from Google to track article reads, and viewership. We will not embed any 3rd party tracking scripts, cookies, or external mechanisms provided by you.

Rights to Edit

ADM retains full editing rights of the article in terms of style. ADM may choose to publish any or all articles submitted solely at its own discretion. Submission of an article or content does not obligate ADM to publish the article or content.

Compensation.

You acknowledge that submissions will not be compensated, financially or otherwise.
