PayPal Developer Day registration opens

PayPal is set to host its Developer Day for Fastlane on August 20-21, 2024, at its headquarters in San Jose, CA. This event will offer a comprehensive overview of integrating Fastlane with PayPal Complete Payments (PPCP) and Braintree. Attendees will benefit from technical sessions covering REST APIs, JavaScript SDKs, and GraphQL APIs, along with hands-on coding labs and personalized support from PayPal engineers.

The event will also feature insights from customers and partners who have successfully integrated Fastlane, providing practical knowledge and best practices for seamless integration.

Fundamentals of integrating Fastlane on PayPal Complete Payments (PPCP)

This session covers the essential aspects of integrating Fastlane on PPCP. Attendees will explore technical details about REST APIs, the JavaScript SDK, and how these integrations facilitate payment solutions for PPCP. Additionally, the session will address security, scalability, authentication, and integration health management.

Tools and resources for PayPal Complete Payments (PPCP) integration

Participants will be introduced to the tools and resources available for integrating Fastlane on PPCP, whether upgrading from legacy or branded solutions or starting anew. The session includes an overview of the Fastlane Integration Builder, Postman collections, sample applications, and GitHub Codespaces, offering hands-on experience with seamless integration.

Customer and partner implementations of Fastlane on PayPal's Complete Payments

Insights will be shared from a PayPal customer and partner regarding their Fastlane integration experiences. This session highlights their approach, lessons learned, and customer feedback.

Fastlane integration for Braintree

This session delves into the fundamentals of integrating Fastlane on Braintree, covering GraphQL APIs, Braintree SDKs, and their roles in powering payment solutions for PayPal. Topics include security, scalability, authentication, and integration health management.

Tools and resources for Braintree integration

Attendees will explore the tools and resources available to support Fastlane integration on Braintree. The session includes an examination of Postman collections, sample applications, and GitHub Codespaces, providing hands-on integration experience.

Braintree customer experience integrating Fastlane

This session will discuss the integration experience of a Braintree customer, including the challenges faced, best practices developed, and the enhanced experience provided to shoppers through Fastlane.

Hands-on coding

PayPal engineers will be present to review code, answer questions, and provide insights into best practices for integrating Fastlane. Attendees will have the opportunity to code alongside PayPal engineers and engage in one-to-one coding sessions and small discussion groups on various topics.

Ask an engineer

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops, code, and questions. Support and integration engineers will be available to assist with Fastlane integration.
