Apple's commitment to machine learning and AI was evident in sessions that explored the capabilities of these technologies on Apple platforms. Highlights included tutorials on bringing expression to apps with Genmoji, integrating apps with Siri, and designing system experiences using App Intents.

The programming language Swift received significant updates, with Apple introducing Swift 6. Sessions covered the migration to Swift 6, the essentials of Swift Testing, and the potential of Embedded Swift for smaller devices.

SwiftUI continued to evolve, with new features designed to enhance UI animations, transitions, and document launch experiences. Developers were also guided on optimizing their applications for Apple Pencil usage.

WWDC24 introduced Xcode 16, packed with new features to streamline development processes. Highlights included extending Xcode Cloud workflows, providing developers with more efficient ways to manage and build projects.

Accessibility remained a focal point, with sessions on incorporating Dynamic Type and building multilingual-ready apps. Apple also showcased advancements in SwiftUI accessibility features.

Sessions on photo and video experiences emphasized maintaining color consistency and using HDR for dynamic imaging. The introduction of multiview video playback in visionOS added a new dimension to media viewing.

WWDC24 highlighted new enterprise APIs for visionOS, updates in device management, and wellbeing APIs in HealthKit. Developers also learned about building custom swimming workouts with WorkoutKit.
