Globo, a provider of enterprise mobility solutions and Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”), today announced the acquisition of San Francisco, California based Sourcebits, a designer and developer of mobile applications for enterprise customers.
The acquisition of the services division of Sourcebits strengthens Globo’s mobile application development capabilities and enhances its competitiveness in enterprise and consumer apps. The Group operates internationally through subsidiaries and offices in US, UK, Europe, Middle East and South East Asia.
Sourcebits’ developer resources and skills, and app design expertise add to Globo’s products that merges enterprise mobility management (GO!Enterprise) with mobile application development (GO!AppZone).
Founded in 2006, Sourcebits has delivered more than 500 mobile, web and desktop apps for iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows platforms. More than 30 of these apps have been in the top ten positions in app marketplaces including iTunes. Sourcebits has an established client base that includes Intel, SAP, P&G, Coca-Cola, Hershey’s, Bank of America and other brands. The Sourcebits services team will continue its operations in San Francisco, USA and Bangalore, India.
