Upsight Sells PlayHaven Mobile Game Ad Network to Science, Inc.

Science Inc. has acquired the PlayHaven mobile game ad network from Upsight. The PlayHaven Ad Network services more than 18,000 games, 245 million monthly active users, and 5.7 billion monthly sessions.

Science reports that it will immediately merge Chirp Ads, its mobile marketing unit, into PlayHaven. The combined company, which will take the PlayHaven name and will help mobile-focused businesses and developers acquire and monetize users with ads.

Science Inc. creates, invests,  acquires and scales digital businesses bringing together ideas, talent, resources and financing through a centralized platform. The platform is leveraged to develop new businesses, provide emerging startups with operational strategy and capital and transform later-stage Internet ventures with new talent and innovation. The company has co-founded and invested in more than 40 companies, including DollarShaveClub, DogVacay, Delicious, PrizeCandle and  Hiq among others. 

Other assets in Science digital marketing investments (known as Science Growth Labs) include influencer focused companies including HelloSociety, Refame, and Famebit, as well as other marketing tools that cover display, SEM, Facebook, and native advertising.
