TestPlant, the maker of the eggPlant range of software quality tools, has announced the launch of eggPlant Network which allows test and operations teams to emulate network conditions as part of the test and measurement of real user experience for digital services.
The eggPlant platform is a set of tools which supports the design, development, testing and management of software applications for mainframe, desktop and mobile use in technology platform environments. The tools are relevant in agile, mobile, web and DevOps deployments. The eggPlant Network use reports on the quality and responsiveness of software systems by introducing process automation.
The platform includes eggPlant Functional for automated GUI and device testing and eggPlant Performance for enterprise and cloud server testing. The eggPlant Network also provides service assurance testing to the platform, allowing measurement of an app’s performance over GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 4G, satellite and LAN/WAN connections.
To use the platform testers tell the
eggPlant Network where the client and the server are located and what’s the network connection and its condition. The eggPlant Network then automatically configures a repeatable emulation of that connection.
