Parallel 6 Integrates beacons Into It's Captive Reach Platform

Posted on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 by RICHARD HARRIS, Executive Editor

Parallel 6 has integrated beacon technology into its Captive Reach platform providing consumer insights and analytics, while allowing marketers to utilize the back end administrative technology.

The addition of beacon technology will serves as an extension to Captive Reach’s current module, geolocation. While geolocation has the capabilities to track users when they enter a specific range of GPS coordinates, beacons are able to determine up to an inch, how close a user is to the technology.

“Beacons serve as a mobile GPS that will augment current geolocation by filling the gap for micro-location while providing in-depth analytics. The advances to proximity detection will open up many opportunities for our development team, allowing us to provide more advanced modules to our clients,” says Parallel 6 developer Mark Eaton.

For some customers, the beacon technology will replace directional and non-directional Wi-Fi systems already onsite. The largest value to brands that integrate beacons into their marketing agenda will be reaching consumers at the point of intersection between thought of transacting and the ability to transact.

Parallel 6 offers an integrated mobile engagement management platform that integrates beacons into numerous modules including their insights module, a content management system, the alerting and notification module, as well as an augmented reality platform.

The Captive Reach platform was created to influence consumer behavior, enhance brand recognition and build strong client-customer relationships. Parallel 6 also offers a suite of managed services such as social media and campaign management, SEO, design, and website creation. The company serves a wide array of B2B and B2C companies, including retailers, finance, gaming, e-commerce, hospitality, daily-deal companies, restaurants and professional service firms around the globe.

For beacon integration, Parallel 6 is currently targeting existing clients in the gaming and retail industries.
