Linea expands through DeFi

Posted on Monday, April 7, 2025 by RICHARD HARRIS, Executive Editor

Continuing its strategic expansion throughout the DeFi space, 1inch, a decentralized exchange aggregator that powers 100 million trades and $500 billion in volume, is partnering with Linea, Consensys' premiere zkEVM Layer-2 network. This integration provides users with hundreds of millions in liquidity, up to 16.6x lower transaction costs, and 6x faster processing compared to Ethereum.

Linea expands through DeFi

With Linea's innovative zero-knowledge (zk) rollup technology, 1inch users benefit from significantly reduced gas fees, near-instant transaction processing, deeper liquidity (from DEXs native to Linea) and improved trading functions on a high-speed Layer-2 system. Linea users will enjoy better swap rates across multiple DEXs, advanced trading tools, and access to the full spectrum of 1inch swap solutions (Classic, Advanced, and Limit Orders), each tailored to meet different user requirements:

  • Classic Mode is a basic token exchange solution that suggests the best available rates aggregated from several decentralized exchanges.
  • Advanced Mode includes Fusion and Fusion+ solutions that allow swaps at a competitive rate without needing native tokens for gas fees and seamlessly prevent front-running (MEV) attacks. Its intent-based architecture connects users to nearly unlimited liquidity across the whole Web3 space, allowing users to make cross-chain swaps on supported networks without extra fees. 1inch Fusion+ was recognized as the “Most Exciting DeFi Solution” at the INATBA Awards Gala this January in Brussels.
  • Limit Orders enable users to buy or sell crypto assets at a specific price, offering precise control over trades, protection from market volatility, and enhanced gas efficiency.

Protocols immediately available via 1inch on Linea are:

  • SushiSwap v3
  • PancakeSwap v3
  • Woofi v2
  • SyncSwap
  • Nile v1 & v2
  • Secta v2 & v3
  • Sparta DEX
  • EchoDex v2 & v3
  • Lynex

Refer to the 1inch Help Center for detailed guides on how to use 1inch on different networks.

"We’re thrilled to bring 1inch Swap to Linea! Thanks to zk-rollup technology, our users can now trade faster and use deeper liquidity for cross-chain swaps,  making DeFi more seamless and efficient," said Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch.
