Its official - the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be held on June 8-12 in San Francisco. And this year, Apple is hosting a lottery to allow iOS developers to enter for a chance to attend the event.

The opportunity to buy tickets to WWDC 2015 will be offered by random selection for developers who register by Friday, April 17, at 10a.m. PDT. Apple will alert the lottery winners by Monday, April 20 at 5:00 p.m. PDT.

Only current members (as of April 14, 2015 at 5:30 a.m. PDT) of the iOS Developer Program, iOS Developer Enterprise Program, or Mac Developer Program are eligible to register. For developers who are selected, the default credit/debit card associated with their Apple ID will be automatically charged by April 20, 5:00 p.m. PDT for $1599 USD, or in local currency where available.
