IBM's Insight 2015 Will Delve Deep Into Data, Analytics, IoT and More

IBM’s Insight 2015 will be held on October 25 - October 29 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas as the company explores the newest innovations, industry breakthroughs and trends in analytics, cloud, mobile, the Internet of Things and its Watson technology.

The conference will examine how companies are using IBM data and analytics solutions and how smart data discovery uses guide and automate intelligence for data analysis and visualization. Attendees will capitalize on insights extracted from diverse data to identify current and future opportunities and risks.

The event will also focus on strategies for improving planning, analysis, reporting, profitability modeling, and incentive compensation management capabilities to anticipate and shape business outcomes more effectively. IBM will provide insight into its commitment to Hadoop and the open source ecosystem, and its broadening support for Apache Spark.

Participants will learn how to utilize data and content to improve a variety of key operations and business needs, including customer insight, case management, data warehouse modernization, document capture, stream and context computing, master data management and more.

Insight 2015 will offer a wide variety of session types with most sessions lasting 60 minutes - featuring a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer segment. A breakdown of all the session types includes:

General Sessions, Keynotes & Super Sessions
These 60 to 90 minute sessions provide the ability to explore high-level business and marketing strategies; discover the true value of conference themes, topics and capabilities; and learn from some of the most innovative IBM clients, Business Partners and IBM executive leaders. Insight will offer three General Sessions and 16 Keynotes and Super Sessions.

Breakout Sessions
Each Breakout Session will offer a detailed exploration of a single topic in a traditional classroom atmosphere, typically with a 45-minute presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A.

Panels
Moderated by IBM Subject Matter Experts, the Panels allow for roundtable discussions on today’s most intriguing technological advances. While some audience participation may be encouraged, the format tends to remain structured.

Hands-on Labs
These intensive three-hour technical sessions are conducted in a classroom environment with exercises that are pre-selected, instructor-led, and offered at one or more published times during the conference. These labs allow testing of IBM products, offer limited seating and require pre-conference event enrollment to participate.

Meet-the-Expert Sessions
Focused on IBM solutions and products, these sessions provide an opportunity to meet and speak directly with IBM Subject Matter Experts. For a larger audience experience, participants can attend one of the many Meet-the-Expert Sessions in the standard breakout rooms and there are also separate opportunities for one-on-one discussion with the experts if desired.

Design Studio Sessions
These small, interactive sessions are led by IBM designers and focus on prototype test drives, design reviews and design feedback which will lead to improvements in the usability of products, uncovering new requirements, and affirming design decisions. These sessions require non-disclosure agreements, have limited seating and require pre-conference enrollment to participate.

Center Experience Solutions Theater
This large theater will host sessions focused on business and market strategy in a casual setting. Aligned with conference themes, topics and capabilities, these 60-minute sessions will feature IBM clients, Business Partners and prominent IBMers. The Center Experience Solutions Theater will also host a livestream of the General Sessions Monday through Wednesday.

EXPO Theater
The EXPO Theater will feature 20-minute sessions hosted by IBM and Business Partner speakers.
