Hourly pricing for Informatica Cloud Services in Microsoft Azure launches

Posted on Thursday, December 15, 2016 by RICHARD HARRIS, Executive Editor

Informatica just announced the availability of hourly pricing for Informatica Cloud Services for Microsoft Azure in the Azure Marketplace. Now available as a pay-as-you-go hourly pricing model, this solution is designed to help users of the Azure cloud platform and Microsoft Cortana Intelligence Suite jump-start cloud data integration and management projects. Additionally, users can run enterprise-class integration jobs with no upfront costs, and simplify integration of disparate data sources – on-premises, in the cloud or in a hybrid environment – to gain critical insights.

Fast Track the Journey to the Cloud

Informatica Cloud optimizes the value of Azure services by simplifying complex data management initiatives. This agile data integration and management solution includes pre-configured connectivity to multiple Azure data services including SQL Data Warehouse, Blob Storage, Data Lake Store and DocumentDB.

A critical component of transforming data into action is connecting data, no matter where it resides within the enterprise. This new offering helps customers fast-track cloud data management projects and expedites proof of concepts by accelerating the loading, management and delivery of relevant data to and from Azure data services, SaaS applications, Hadoop-based data lakes, and on-premises data sources. For example, organizations can stand up a new Azure Data Warehouse project and use the Informatica Cloud connector for Azure SQL Data Warehouse to load data from on-premises or cloud sources, such as Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Workday, within hours, not days.

Deploying for Azure enables organizations to:

- Architect a cost-effective infrastructure with cloud economies of scale
- Increase operational efficiencies with a cloud-first approach
- Fast-track data integration, migration and management projects
- Create a modern, hybrid business on your journey from on-premises to the cloud
- Improve productivity and agility by natively running applications on Azure
- Enable advanced analytics, machine learning and AI solutions
- Deliver self-service analytics by empowering every user with self-service data management
- Lower cloud adoption barriers – no up-front cost, pay for what they use.

Jump-start Big Data Analytics Projects

In addition to the pay-as-you-go option, customers also have an easier path to new big data analytics initiatives in the cloud with pre-built connectivity to richer datasets and self-service data integration. For example, the announced Informatica HDInsight Quickstart offering for Azure spins up an enterprise-grade, fully integrated solution in just a few clicks. With this Quickstart customers can save time by simplifying big data analytics projects by instantly deploying Microsoft HDInsight, Azure Blob Storage, Power BI and Informatica Cloud with all the connections and configurations pre-built.
