Dell stops making smartphones

The computing hardware giant Dell has announced they are dropping out of creating any Dell branded mobile devices, and leaving Android entirely.

Jeff Clarke, the head of Dell’s consumer business, said that they could not find a way to build a business from Android. They have decided to start distributing Windows tablets instead, all running Windows 8 or Windows RT.

This sounds to me like another reason developers should start considering developing for the Windows app store.
