App Developers Can Now Test Intel based Android Devices for Free on Testdroid

Posted on Saturday, September 13, 2014 by RICHARD HARRIS, Executive Editor

Testdroid and Intel have announced the availability of free testing on Intel-based Android devices through the Testdroid Cloud service.

The Testdroid Cloud enables mobile app and game developers to use its device inventory for developing, testing, and verifying the correct functionality and behavior of apps on hundreds of real devices, by different OEMs, with different OS versions and hardware configurations, with either manual or automated access.

The free use of Intel Atom-based devices at Testdroid Cloud provides Android app developers an instant way to test their apps, games, and services on real devices. Testdroid Cloud supports all mainstream test automation frameworks for Android and iOS, such as Appium, Calabash, Robotium, uiautomator, UI Automation, and Espresso, and users can test their native, hybrid, and web apps using any of these test automation frameworks.

Testdroid Cloud's new product feature, Testdroid Interactive, will provide instant, manual access to any of the Intel Atom-based Android devices, and users can get interactive remote access and debugging sessions on those devices using a web browser.
