A new study has revealed the top ten U.S. states that cheat the least in video games. CS gaming site Clash.gg analyzed the average number of Google searches each month in each U.S. state for cheat-related terms combined with video games, such as 'Minecraft walkthrough' and 'Lethal Company cheats'. Those with the lowest search volume determined the ranking of the U.S. states that are cheating the least in video games.
Texas is the U.S. state that cheats the least in video games, with only 33.65 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents. The Republican state searched for cheat-related terms for Fortnite the most, followed by HELLDIVERS 2 and VALORANT.
In second place is California, with 33.97 average monthly searches per 100,000 locals. The Democratic state looked for VALORANT cheats the most, followed by HELLDIVERS 2 and Fortnite.
Pennsylvania takes third place, with 35.64 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents. Fortnite and HELLDIVERS 2 are the games this Democratic state needed the most help with.
In fourth place is Florida, with 35.74 average monthly searches per 100,000 locals. The Republican state searched for cheat-related terms for the game Fortnite the most, followed by HELLDIVERS 2, and VALORANT.
New Jersey claims fifth place, with 35.76 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents. Lethal Company and Minecraft are among the top five games for which this Democratic state searched for cheats.
Sixth place is taken by Illinois, with 36.81 average monthly searches per 100,000 locals. Fallout 4 and VALORANT are two of the games this Democratic state needed the most help with.
New York is in seventh place, with 37.48 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents. The Democratic state searched for cheat-related terms for the game VALORANT the most, as well as THE FINALS, and Rust.
In eighth place is Georgia, with 38.44 average monthly searches per 100,000 locals. Fallout 4 and Minecraft are among the top five games for which this Democratic state searched for cheats.
Ohio takes ninth place, with 39.12 average monthly searches per 100,000 residents. Fortnite and HELLDIVERS 2 are two of the games this Republican state needed the most help with.
Lastly, in tenth place is North Carolina, with 39.22 average monthly searches per 100,000 locals. The Republican state searched for cheat-related terms for

“Video games can be full of difficult challenges and puzzles, aimed at testing our skill and problem-solving abilities. These can give players a boost to self-confidence and pride in completing these challenges by themselves. However, walkthroughs and other guides have been published online to help players who cannot overcome the obstacles in these games and need a helping hand.”
