The HUVr Board And Our Lust for New Technology

Posted on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 by STUART PARKERSON, Global Sales

The time and effort people will put into something that is a prank, joke or other opportunity to pull one over on us is amazing.

So now we have the HUVr Board, the coolest tech to come out in years right? Except its an elaborate hoax, complete with YouTube video featuring Christopher Lloyd getting out of his “Back to the Future” Delorean with a HUVr Board in hand.

The video has been viewed more than 3 million times and probably will dwarf that number in the next few days. It shows cool, hip young people hovering around on their board, with awesome testimonials on how cool it is.

The website and video are beautifully done, a testament to the enthusiasm to the real idea: fake out people with a fake product. I bet if they tried they could have actually created a real HUVr Board with the same amount of effort as faking it.

I want my real HUVr Board! Someone figure out how to do it please!
