Pegasystems Inc., the enterprise AI decisioning and workflow automation platform provider, recently announced an expansion of its Pega University Program to find and cultivate new Pega-certified professionals with promising employment opportunities upon program completion. Building off its initial success in India, the Pega University Program will provide clients and partners in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific with pre-trained software developers to meet their growing needs.

Pega expands Software developer incubator program worldwide

Most organizations still struggle to fill the demand for software development talent with no relief in sight. According to IDC, over 90% of organizations worldwide will face significant IT skills shortages by 2026, potentially leading to $5.5 trillion in losses from delayed products, reduced competitiveness, and missed business opportunities. A robust upskilling program is paramount for organizations to proactively develop the next generation of tech professionals. This helps them to continue innovating and modernizing their technology to compete in their markets and drive future growth.

The newly expanded Pega University Program helps take the burden off clients and partners to recruit and train new Pega professionals. In partnership with deeptech education leader TalentSprint, the program helps provide IT teams with a steady pipeline of newly trained Pega talent from select universities around the world.  In turn, qualified students are often provided with employment opportunities from many of the world’s most influential organizations upon successful completion of the program.

Pega University program helps clients and partners more effectively find and train new Pega IT talent

Pega clients and partners participating in the Pega University Program can choose from two models to best fit their needs:

Full-Service Option: With the “Hire, Train, and Deploy” option, Pega’s experienced recruitment partner, TalentSprint, takes full ownership for finding, training, and deploying new employees from start to finish. TalentSprint scouts for high quality candidates with university partners based on the hiring organization’s specific requirements. Following candidate interviews, the hiring organization provides selected students with conditional job offers that can be executed upon successful training completion. TalentSprint’s experienced Pega-approved instructors then conduct a comprehensive training course, resulting in newly certified Pega professionals ready to work on day one of their employment.

‘Bring-Your-Own-Student’ Option: Hiring organizations can select the “Graduate Upskilling” option if they have already identified recent university graduates, interns, or co-ops for training. These students are enrolled in the appropriate certification program run by seasoned Pega trainers for the opportunity to become effective Pega developers.

Launched in India in 2016, the Pega University Program has trained and placed over 10,000 Pega professionals, 46% of which are women, into the Pega ecosystem. The program provides a structured curriculum focused on Pega software, offering students valuable technical knowledge and hands-on experience. This provides students with the potential for promising career prospects while supporting organizations with access to certified professionals and helping educational institutions build a network of skilled alumni.

"Our expanded Pega University Program is strategically designed to meet the immediate needs of our clients and partners by providing a dependable pipeline of Pega-certified talent, ready to contribute from day one,” said Mary Tafuri, vice president, global go-to-market enablement & effectiveness, Pega.  “We see tremendous potential in this initiative to drive progress for both aspiring professionals and the organizations they will serve. This innovative approach will help accelerate the growth of the Pega ecosystem and in turn accelerate innovation for many of the world’s most influential organizations.”

“At TalentSprint, we are committed to creating transformational journeys for our learners,” said Dr. Santanu Paul, founder and CEO, TalentSprint. “Partnering with Pega allows us to extend our impact globally, equipping professionals with cutting-edge skills in Pega technology. This collaboration is not just about education; it's about empowering individuals to thrive in the digital economy, while simultaneously addressing the talent needs of our clients and partners on a global scale."
