Posted on Friday, August 15, 2014 by STUART PARKERSON, Global Sales

On October 20–24, 2014 the Venetian| Palazzo Congress Center in Las Vegas will be the site of SAP TechEd && d-code, part of a global series of SAP tech conferences for developers, engineers, and technologists. A $100 discount off registration is available through September 26.

The SAP TechEd && d-code conference focuses on learning, live coding and collaboration opportunities, new tools, and training. The program offers technical hands-on sessions, demo lectures, product road map Q&A sessions, and networking.

The event offers technical lectures and hands-on workshops covering topics such as in-memory computing, Big Data and real-time analytics, cloud management and security, Hadoop and SAP HANA, and user experience. Participants will have the opportunity to attend keynotes, watch live coding events, and network with developers and IT experts. There will be product demos on the show floor, down time opportunity in the hackers' lounge, and chances to participate in DemoJam.

Specific experiences include:

Developer Garage: Get your hands – and your laptop – on the latest SAP development tools and environments. Experts will be on hand to help download, install, and get up and running.

Code Review Sessions: Find out how to make bad code good, and good code even better. Through real world examples of good and bad code, developers will learn new tips and techniques to ensure code write is secure, readable, and efficient.

SAP CodeJam (mini editions):  Mini editions of SAP CodeJam will provide the chance to meet one-on-one with SAP development experts, connect with other developers, share knowledge, and write code.

Hackers' Lounge:  Stop by to meet with SAP developers and designers. Stick around to play with a variety of toys and tools that showcase completely new and innovative uses for SAP technologies.

Hacker Night: Developers will bring laptops and ideas and the event will provide food, drinks and prizes.

Birds-of-a-feather (BOF) Sessions: The last hour of the day on the show floor will offer an opportunity to connect with SAP development experts and other developers around topics of mutual interest.

Community Sessions: Hear from some of the leading experts in the SAP community about best practices and their successful implementations of SAP technology.
