Processer and GPU manufacturer Nvidia’s foray into the game console market has hit a snag as it has delayed the debut of its Shield console which was scheduled to go on sale at the end of June, but now has an end of July release date. Nvidia reports that problems arising with a third party vendor are the cause for the delay and have not given a firm new release date. Priced at $299 the Android powered device also has the ability to stream games from a computer. It is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 4 mobile processor and features a full-size game controller, Wi-Fi, HD video and audio, and can be played as a stand alone device or on a television. Developers can learn more about creating games at the Shield developer zone https://developer.nvidia.com/develop4shield.
