New Cloud Based Device Detection Service Available From 51Degrees

Posted on Thursday, February 19, 2015 by STUART PARKERSON, Global Sales

51Degrees has launched a new free and premium platform that offers website owners a cloud based device detection solution. 51Degrees’ device detection and subsequent web optimization services enable websites to ascertain whether a user is accessing the site on a smartphone, feature phone, tablet, laptop, PC or Smart TV and use that information to deliver a fast loading and optimized web experience.

The premium service includes unlimited requests, detection from a constantly updated database of more than 20,000 devices and more than 100 properties for detection, including screen size and input method.  It is priced at $25 per month.

The free solution is designed for individuals and non-profit websites. Subscribers still receive unlimited requests, although from a smaller database of devices. Both products integrate with analytic solutions including Google Analytics. The cloud solutions run across 5 global data centers to deliver fast cloud-based response times and resilience against server failure.

More information is available on the company website.
