New Centrify MAS SDK Lets Enterprise Mobile Apps Play With Active Directory

Posted on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 by STUART PARKERSON, Global Sales

Centrify Corporation has launched a new developer site to provide direct access to Centrify’s SDKs which provide identity management services through cloud, mobile and datacenter applications and systems. The site also serves as a hub for newly introduced and updated SDKs, technical resources on integration, code samples, interaction with the developer community, and more.

Centrify also today introduced Centrify SDK v2.0, which extends the “Zero Sign-on” login experience for users accessing native mobile applications on Android and iOS mobile platforms.

With the new site developers of cloud, mobile and SaaS-based applications now have access to a variety of Centrify User Suite SDKs, including the Mobile Authentication Services (MAS) SDK to integrate mobile applications with Active Directory and deliver Zero Sign-on authentication for mobile applications.

In addition, the Centrify User Suite SaaS SDK is now available via the new developer site for developers and cloud service vendors to integrate their cloud applications with Centrify’s Active Directory to authenticate enterprise users and deliver Single Sign-on (SSO) when accessing SaaS applications.

The new site also enables developers to have access to a variety of Centrify Server Suite SDKs, including the Centrify DirectManage Access SDK, which enables manufacturers of storage systems, network devices and other IT infrastructure components to “Active Directory enable” their solutions to strengthen security and enhance manageability for their customers. The DirectManage SDK allows both in-house and commercial identity management and provisioning solutions to programmatically manage, administer, and provision identity and rights control information that Centrify DirectManage stores within Active Directory.

In addition, the Centrify Server Suite DirectAudit SDK enables writing scripts to perform database rotation and attach or detach databases automatically. By integrating Centrify Server Suite SDKs, enterprise software and hardware companies can focus development efforts around their core competencies and accelerated their time to market by reduced engineering and QA costs around identity management challenges.

Additionally, the new Centrify SDK v2.0 now extends Zero Sign-on for native mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. Newly available via Google Play and Apple Appstore, the Centrify application provides Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) capabilities, as well as SSO functionality, for today’s most popular mobile platforms.

Any native mobile application integrated with the Centrify SDK v2.0 can now take advantage of Zero Sign-on so enterprise users of these applications can skip entering credentials and more easily access authorized applications. Centrify’s SDK v2.0 also includes pre-built login screens which eliminate the need to build custom login screens for mobile applications and provides a simple and consistent login interface.

In addition to SDKs, this new site is a resource for case studies, tutorials, best practices, and code samples for developers to easily integrate.
