Flow Corporation Announces New Version of Social Activity Stream Management Solution

Flow Corporation has announced the launch of the newest iteration of its stream management solution, which provides an enterprise mobility solution for companies to distribute real-time information to employees, customers and partners.

The cloud-based solution connects users to mission-specific information streams, inviting them to access to the specific information. While traditional social streams allow users to follow and comment on the miscellaneous activities, Flow offers companies the ability to automatically provide specific business information within the context of specific streams to any desktop or mobile device.

Flow streams are delivered via SaaS web app, instantly deployable mobile apps and/or API integration to any existing interface. Information streams are created with both manual (drag-and-drop) and automated workflow (CEP, routing, filters) capabilities. For non-technical end-users, Flow information dashboards and mobile apps can be deployed without IT support or app store approvals.

Mobile apps utilizing the services can access bi-directional streams so that information can be published by remotely to and from mobile apps, even integrating in real-time with other enterprise applications. For developers, it takes five lines of JavaScript instead of five months of JAVA programming to accomplish a wide range of aggregation, routing and CEP tasks.

The service can be deployed throughout an organization centrally with different constituencies given  access to different streams, but all users and existing application data are all connected by a common communication bus.

Flow is deployed in three core components: Flow Stream Platform, Flow Stream Dashboard, and Flow Mobile App Builder. The Flow Stream Platform provides stream management, complex event processing, workflow management, permissioning and identity management provided through access to a number of APIs (REST, XMPP, Websockets). The Flow Stream Builder is a SaaS-delivered dashboard that enables both manual and automated information management. The Flow Mobile App Builder enables enterprises to mobilize information streams by routing information to and from mobile apps that can be created and deployed in minutes through any device with no app store approvals needed.
