DevExpress has announced the immediate availability of
TestCafe v14.1, an automated web testing framework built to address the app testing needs of the enterprise. The service provides the ability to test any web application, against any HTML 5 browser on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux,
With TestCafe, QA engineers and web developers no longer worry about plugins and their associated complications. TestCafe is built so that users do not encounter browser versioning issues and allows testing against different versions of the same browser without the need to install a complete test environment for one-off test purposes.
TestCafe can record and run functional tests on any browser that supports
HTML5, across all major operating systems including Windows, Mac and Linux. Its architecture allows tests to be executed on remote computers and mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone. Its allow tests to run in multiple browsers and on multiple machines in parallel.
TestCafe ships with a web-based visual test recorder and fully integrated remote testing platform. Together, these features allow organizations to streamline testing activities, increase efficiencies and reduce costs by leveraging TestCafe's plugin-free architecture.
Test scripts are coded in JavaScript and only a handful of new functions need to be learned. And because TestCafe is fully encapsulated, it will coexist with any JavaScript libraries on the webpage permitting full use of existing knowledge and expertise. Tests are executed within the browser as common JS code, which means QA engineers have full access to any standard JS/DOM API.
